Knowing where you came from establishes who you are in business. Our company started in 1977 when Mike Girard formed Girard & Co. Engineers. He continued to build his reputation as a practical engineer approaching engineering as an art form and delivering a level of caring service that set him apart from his peers.

Through the '80s and '90s, Mike and his skilled staff worked on countless projects throughout New England. Projects ranged from athletic facilities at Middlebury College, public and private schools in the K-12 market, to corporate office buildings like the Long Wharf complex in New Haven, Connecticut. There was never an engineering challenge Mike was afraid to take on.

Mike retired in 2004 and is still enjoying life with friends and family.
